_Data Architect/ Senior Database Developer
Data Architect / Senior Database Developer Reporting to the Lead Data Architect, the Data Architect / Senior Database Developer is responsible for all aspects of enterprise data management, including: analysis, design, development, support and troubleshooting database solutions. The Data Architect / Senior Database Developer will have a strong understanding of the processes and functions of systems and applications.

Responsibilities



  • Lead the design, development, and troubleshooting of large, complex, high-volume, highly-available database systems.
  • Work closely with application development teams to design highly scalable systems to achieve high data throughput and fast response time.
  • Control and manage database objects via TFS.
  • Design conceptual, logical and physical data models for a distributed, multi-tier application.
  • Develop and publish data architecture standards, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain positive working relationship with application development teams, product management, technical architects, and DBAs to ensure successful project deliveries.
  • Provide coaching and knowledge transfer to team members.
  • Provide strategic planning / thought leadership for data architecture and technologies.
  • Work with IT management to prioritize projects and operational tasks.
  • Maintain and enforce data modeling standards.
  • Review data access methods within applications.
  • Assist developers with SQL coding and tuning.
  • Participate in data governance and stewardship activities.
  • Work with multiple software packages (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, E/R Studio, etc.)
  • Regularly communicate the status of projects and issues to management team.
  • Architect and develop ETL and integration solutions.
Requirements

 

  • Extensive experience with T-SQL development and tuning.
  • Experience in data architecture and data modeling.
  • Experience with the Microsoft BI Stack (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS).
  • Experience with MS SQL Server database administration.
  • Ability to work on and manage multiple projects as well as day to day operations.
  • Understanding of how to design and develop both OLTP and OLAP systems.
  • 7+ years of relational database experience (Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Knowledge of TFS and code management.
  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
